Vidhisha Thakkar

Hello everyone! My name is Vidhisha Thakkar (she/her/hers), and I am a senior from Newington, Connecticut, pursuing a dual degree in Political Science and Accounting. I am currently navigating the law school application process while also preparing for the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exams.

I am part of the Honors Program and the Special Program in Law (SPinL), and I am especially passionate about the intersection of business and law. I hope to be a resource for other students who share similar interests!

On campus, I serve as President of the Moot Court team, collaborating with Professor Bergendahl and a dedicated group of students to re-establish UConn’s Moot Court competition team. I am also Co-President of the Indian Students Association, a cultural organization committed to celebrating Indian culture through events and community building. In addition, I participated in the Bennett Research Assistant Program through the Department of Political Science and am currently developing my honors thesis.

Outside of campus, I have gained experience through internships in both small and corporate law firms as well as at a Big 4 accounting firm. I would love to connect with students interested in exploring experiential learning opportunities that align with their goals.

This year marks my third year as a Resident Assistant, a role that has strengthened my mentorship and advising skills. As a Pre-Law Peer Ambassador (PLPA), I look forward to supporting students throughout the law school application process, whether that’s preparing for the LSAT, refining a personal statement, or exploring internships.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, shopping, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
