About Us

Pre-Law Advising is part of the University of Connecticut's Office of Pre-Professional Advising. The University of Connecticut is committed to helping students and alumni prepare for law school and legal careers. We offer events and workshops to help students get a sense of what it means to be a lawyer. We also help students with the law school application process by reviewing personal statements and resumes, providing information about various schools and programs, and assessing competing offers of admissions. Learn more about our pre-law advisors here.

Get Started

Fill out this google form or email prelaw@uconn.edu to receive a weekly newsletter from Pre-Law Advising with helpful information about applying to law school, events to attend, and organizations to become involved in.

We also highly recommend students who wish to begin their pre-law journey schedule an appointment with one of our pre-law advisors to discuss their academic and professional goals, get connected with resources, and become familiar with the process of applying to law school.

There is no formal application or declaration process for becoming a pre-law student at UConn. Any student who has an interest in eventually attending law school may schedule advising appointments, attend pre-law events, participate in pre-law clubs, etc.
