Hi there! I’m CJ Hibbert (he/him/his), a junior majoring in Political Science with minors in Human Rights and Global Studies. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, by way of Jamaica, I’m deeply passionate about international relations and education.
Currently, I serve as a Floor Mentor for the ScHoLA2RS House Learning Community and as an Experiential Global Learning Ambassador. My journey through the legal field has been both enriching and diverse. I've had the privilege of working with organizations such as the Columbia University Center for Justice, the Vera Institute of Justice, and Allen & Overy/Shearman & Sterling LLP as a Law Student Recruitment & DEI Intern.
In the education sector, my experiences include roles with Teach for America as an Ignite Fellow and with Achievement First Charter Schools. These opportunities have deepened my commitment to educational equity and mentorship.
My global perspective has been shaped by studying abroad in Ghana, the Netherlands, and Kenya, and by participating in the D.C. Honors Congressional Internship program. Last spring, I worked in the Office of Senator Chris Murphy, gaining valuable insights into Capitol Hill. If you’re curious about navigating the world of politics or considering a similar internship, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to share my experiences!
In my downtime, I enjoy fashion, musicals, film, TV, and cooking.
As a Pre-Law Ambassador, I’m excited to guide and support students on their legal career paths. My previous experiences have fueled my passion for mentoring, and I look forward to helping you find your way and achieve your goals. Let’s connect and make the most of your pre-law journey!
